We hold afternoon lectures at 2.30pm on the second Thursday of the month at Hersham Village Hall on Queens Road by Hersham Green. Please see our Programme of Events 2012.

The lectures cover everything from individual artists such Leonardo da Vinci to art movements such as Impressionism through to music and the decorative arts.

In addition to the lectures, we normally organise three or four visits a year to houses, gardens or London walks, as well as Special Interest Days which are held at Riverhouse in Walton and include lunch.

We are part of the National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (e are part of the National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS) which has over 340 Societies and over 90,000 members worldwide.

We have 320 members and a short waiting list. Please note that guests on the waiting list may attend lectures by paying a £5 entrance fee. If you wish to come to a lecture and you are not a member please contact the Membership Secretary at membership@whdfas.org.uk.

If you are a member we are always looking for volunteers to help with the teas after the lecture and to help on the committee.
