Members Click here for the 2010 lecture programme.

Non-Members, thinking of joining? We have a very full and exciting programme.

We hold afternoon lectures at 2.30pm on the second Thursday of the month at Hersham Village Hall on Queens Road by Hersham Green. Please see our Programme of Events for 2010.

The lectures cover everything from individual artists such Leonardo da Vinci to art movements such as Impressionism through to music and the decorative arts.

We normally make three visits a year to houses or gardens and last year met for a guided walk in London. Special Interest Days where the members have two or sometimes three, related lectures have also proved popular. These small groups are held at Riverhouse in Walton and include lunch. Some years we have an extended tour - this year we visited Glasgow and next year we hope to visit Northampton.

We are part of the National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS) which has over 330 Societies and over 90,000 members worldwide.

We have 320 members and a short waiting list. Please note that guests on the waiting list may attend lectures by paying a small entrance fee. If you wish to come to a lecture and you are not a member please contact the Membership Secretary Hilary Nunn at hilary.nunn@whdfas.org.uk.

Finally, if you are a member we are always looking for volunteers to help with the teas after the lecture and to help on the committee.
